Wilder Devon – Taking Action for Nature Recovery
February 20 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm
A window into various pioneering projects that DWT and partners are leading that are giving nature’s recovery in Devon a boost – from species recovery and reintroduction projects to large landscape scale conservation land management programmes. This event is organised by Bovey Tracey Local Group.
About the event
Join Bovey Tracey Local Group and Pete Burgess, Director of Nature Recovery at DWT, for a fascinating talk about the ongoing DWT projects giving nature’s recovery a boost in Devon!
The doors will open at 19:00 for the talk to start at 19:30. There will be a short refreshment break midway, and time for questions at the end. We will collect donations for DWT at the door, but there is no admission charge.
About the speaker
Pete has spent over 24 years working in the conservation sector in Devon. He has diverse experience developing and delivering conservation and land management projects and was involved in one of the earliest landscape scale projects – the Greater Horseshoe Bat Project in 1999 and with the Reconnecting the Culm project for Butterfly Conservation. His first role at DWT was as Project Manager of Working Wetlands in the first stages of the Trust’s landscape-scale conservation of Culm grassland.
