The Future of Humanity with AI

In this event, Exeter Humanists are excited to be working with Humans Need Apply to bring an in depth conversation about the impact of Artificial Intelligence on society, from a humanistic and interdisciplinary perspective. We’ll be discussing everything from misinformation, healthcare, education, work, and a whole lot more.

Humans Need Apply is an interdisciplinary duo focusing on AI and Existential Risk, comprised of Chris Phippen and Anna Davey-Mitchell:

  • Anna (https://www.linkedin.com/in/anna-davey-mitchell/) is a TedX speaker and academic at Bristol University in their Digital Societies team, working simultaneously on a PhD in techno-politics and business impact and innovation.
  • Chris (https://www.linkedin.com/in/chris-phippen/) is a former tech CEO and an associate lecturer in the Computer Science department at Exeter University. He’s predominantly a speaker on AGI and systems risk.
